Dainese is the market leader in the world of protective kit for motorcycling and other dynamic sports. Founded 40 years ago by its current President Lino Dainese, the Italian brand has protected some of the greatest motorcycle racers of all time including Giacomo Agostini, Barry Sheene, Kenny Roberts, Valentino Rossi Carl Fogarty and now Leon Haslam.
Dainese also provides protection for skiing, mountain biking and horse riding and is the first company to have introduced airbag systems into motorcycle clothing, and most recently in ski protection.
In 2011, after 10 years of research and development, the Vicenza-based company release D-air Racing on the market. Tested by Dainese sponsored riders in MotoGP, World Superbikes and road racing, the suit incorporates an internal airbag that is inflated to protect the rider in the event of a slide or fall and is completely wireless. As well as the D-air Racing version, there is D-air Street designed for use on public roads.
