We are finally here, after a long and winding journey through the French Alps and a very dark drive through the night we all reached Chamonix at 6.30 in the morning. We all decided to be hardcore and go to the slopes straight after a well deserved cup of tea.
Leon and James the cool dude boarders decided not to take it easy and go straight for the harder of the slopes we went to, being the Grand Montets while me and Debs, who are even cooler on our skis decided to take steady on a blue run. Now Debs, who is a great skier poodled down the slope with ease, while I did the same one on my bum. However the second time I was a little better, tomorrow is another day...
A few major crashes later Leon and James decided to join us for some après ski and entertain us one who was the best, who did the biggest jumps, who crashes where best etc. I have the feeling though the competition is not going to end on the slopes as we are sat in our lovely motorhome (supplied by TLC American Motorhomes) plug plug, and the new Mario Karts game is getting a bit of a hammering. The phrase of the trip is going to have to be "Is that you."
Also just one more shameless plug, thanks to Rudy Project who always supply us with amazing eye wear, Two Seasons in Westfield in Derby and Lifestyle in Heanor for all the gear. Thanks guys. Websites are on our links page and all pictures are in the gallery.
