Track Info:
A relatively new circuit to the championship, Mondello Park opened in 1968 as a 1.8-mile course hosting small, low profile Euro champ amateur races. Built in the midst of Kildare farmland to fill the void of no local race circuit, the track was owned by Martin Birrane and extended in 1969 to 1.2 miles and then again in 1998 to 2.24 miles.

The aim of the circuit was always to host a British Superbike round and having improved the permanent tracks and trackside facilities, this aim was realised in 2003. In the meantime, Mondello Park has also hosted major one off events such as the 'Race of the Year' attracting top motorsport personalities. Visiting riders in the British Superbike series have given it the "thumbs-up" as have the fans, with 32,000 turning up for the first Superbike meet in 2003.

The track has been used for several years for the British Touring Car Championship and is growing a large following amongst Superbike fans. A tight and technical circuit with lots of off-camber bends make Mondello Park a demanding track but certainly one enjoyed by fans and riders.
